About Concord College

Concord is an English boarding school and a vibrant international community in one. Over 80% of students are international and come from all around the world to study together in England. Dedicated to supporting able students flourish in all aspects of their development, Concord is academically selective and provides an ideal, safe and beautiful environment for inquisitive learners. From Concord, students progress to top universities worldwide whilst maintaining a global network of friends. What Makes Us Unique

Concord is an international community with over 40 nationalities of student and is a really special environment to study and live in. Students make lifelong friendships with people from all over the world. We have lots of opportunities to celebrate and share cultural events such as our annual international food fair, biennial cultural showcase and regular special celebrations. Our boarders all stay at weekends and many of them also stay on campus in the shorter half-term breaks for a range of activities. Concord is an unusual combination, achieving academic success in a school with a broad whole-child focus. Last year's A Level results included 82% of grades at A*/A. We have no uniform and a dedication to encouraging our students to develop and pursue their own interests. Sport, music and an impressive super-curriculum allow students to pursue their dreams supported by dedicated staff. Students go on to top universities and gain places on competitive courses such as medicine, dentistry and veterinary science (29 students last year), architecture (including Cambridge and UCL) and computer science (including Cambridge and Manchester).

Extracurriculars

Over 100 clubs, societies and activities to choose from. All students take part in the outdoor education program as part of the sports offering and most of our youngest cohort undertake a Duke of Edinburgh Award (as do many older students. Students from Concord are often successful in Olympiads with gold certificates and medals won regularly. We have had several national team members recently. Academic and profession focussed societies are popular and our Medical society is a regular favourite. The annual medical futures conference brings aspiring medics together with doctors from a range of specialisms as well as representatives from medical schools and some hands-on activities.

Facilities

73 acres of beautiful campus in the English countryside, boarders all have their own room, senior pupils often have ensuite facilities. Sports -Gym (cardio, weights and spin) , swimming pool, two sports halls, tennis courts, football (soccer) pitches, high ropes course, climbing wall. Arts - art school, music school with bookable individual practice rooms, recording studio, theatre Sciences - state of the art 22 laboratory science building including a special projects lab for student science projects. Social spaces - Common rooms (large whole school and also within boarding residences), student kitchen (bookable to create events), Medical - dedicated medical centre fully staffed. Security - on site security 24/7 with someone awake at all times.
