Wayland Academy is located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin—a welcoming small city in the heart of the Midwest. As you begin to picture life here, you’ll find that our convenient location offers easy access to a variety of off-campus activities just a short distance away. Whether you're craving local favorites like Sake House, Blue Boy, or Ming’s Garden, or prefer familiar spots like McDonald’s and Dunkin’, Beaver Dam offers a wide range of dining options beyond our campus dining hall. Downtown Beaver Dam has plenty to offer within walking distance from Wayland’s campus, including local shops, restaurants, and the Beaver Dam Cinema. The area is also decorated with colorful hand-painted murals, showcasing the creativity and history of the city. For those who enjoy the outdoors, Beaver Dam Lake is perfect for water sports and recreation, while nearby parks provide open space for sports, walking, and winter activities like ice skating and sledding. A couple of other activities around town include Tower Lanes bowling, the Bank Esports lounge, and a skateboard and BMX park. Additionally, there is a student union on campus where snacks are sold, pool and ping pong are played, and karoake is sung! Other activities include sporting events and trips to the excitement of Chicago, Milwaukee, and Madison!
