About Stanstead College

Located in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, Canada, Stanstead College is a small, private boarding school for girls and boys in Grades 7 through 12. In keeping with the school motto – Health, Wisdom, Integrity – Stanstead College builds its program around the pillars of academics, athletics and student life. Caring teachers and small class sizes are paired with rigorous academics and an advisor system help students become aware, self-disciplined young men and women. Based on the Quebec curriculum in Grades 7-11, the Stanstead College also offers a Grade 12 option that provides students with an intensive university prep experience, including many Advanced Placement options. As the only Canadian school accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, our graduates receive acceptances from top universities across Canada, the United States and internationally.

Stanstead College is the only Canadian school accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, allowing us to readily provide post-secondary options to students in both Canada and the United States. Stanstead College is an English school in French Canada, with French mandatory in Grades 7-11, providing students an opportunity to improve not only a second language but possibly a third. Two new residences built in the last five years.

Stanstead College offers a well-rounded extracurricular program that combines athletics, arts, academics, and leadership within a structured co-curricular system. Students engage in both athletic teams and academic clubs, as well as other activities such as drama, music, and visual arts. Our students are also offered leadership and community service opportunities through our Prefects program and volunteering initiatives, while also having direct voice in social events, weekend trips, and house activities.

Facilities

Our campus includes well-equipped classrooms with up-to-date technology, science labs for hands-on experiments, dedicated spaces for French classes, music, drama and the arts, a library and Learning Resource Centre that provides study spaces, research materials, and academic support for our students. We also have a wide range of athletic facilities including two gymnasiums, on-campus arena, six soccer and rugby fields, regulation track, three fitness centers, two squash courts, two tennis courts, exterior 3-on-3 basketball court, outdoor rink, and a beach volleyball court.

Our new Wellness Centre includes 24-hour service from live-in nurses plus a professional counsellor during the day to respond to the emotional needs of the students. The team is complemented by a dedicated athletic therapist and a doctor on campus regularly.
