Whether in a design lab, on the trails, or in the classroom, we encourage curiosity, risk-taking, and growth. Through place-based, technology-integrated, and experiential learning, students are prepared for a future we can’t yet fully imagine.
What sets Kents Hill apart is our commitment to a supportive, personalized student experience and our decades of success nurturing diverse learners, unlocking individual potential, and teaching essential life skills for success far beyond our campus.
What Makes Us Unique
Kents Hill School offers a truly distinctive blend of place-based learning and individualized student support. Our on-campus Alpine Center provides students with the opportunity to ski and snowboard right where they live and learn, creating a unique environment where athletes of all levels can develop their skills while building confidence and community. Beyond athletics, our 400-acre campus and surrounding Maine landscape serve as an extension of the classroom, inspiring innovative courses rooted in our natural resources, including offerings such as the Science of Snowmaking that connect real-world problem solving with hands-on learning.
Equally unique is our longstanding commitment to supporting diverse learners through the Akin Learning Center, a program that has been serving neurodiverse students for more than 30 years. Our dedicated learning support team partners with students to build academic skills, confidence, and independence while ensuring each student has the tools needed to thrive. Together, these programs reflect Kents Hill’s mission: creating an environment where students are known, supported, and challenged to grow.
