The core of the Hyde experience runs much deeper than other traditional schools where an emphasis on achievement as measured by metrics like test scores and grades is the norm. Hyde reframes the conversation–and the educational experience–to focus on those things students can control and develop: their attitude, their effort, their resilience in the face of challenge, which teaches them the skills that allow them to achieve more than they ever thought they could. When students depart from Hyde’s gates after graduation, the most important quality they carry with them is a set of principles: courage, integrity, leadership, curiosity and concern. Students and their families engage with these principles throughout their time at Hyde and each student graduates having authentically developed a framework of beliefs and values that are true to who they are and to who they want to be.
