Description

Trinity College School is one of Canada’s leading independent schools, offering day (Grades 5–12) and boarding (Grades 9–12) programs on a beautiful 100-acre campus nestled in the small and safe community of Port Hope, Ontario. Our rural campus and state-of-the-art facilities create the ideal environment for students to explore their individual paths and realize all that’s possible. Whether they’re discovering new passions or deepening existing interests, students are encouraged to grow across our interconnected academics, arts, athletics, and service learning programs.

As a boarding community, TCS offers a uniquely immersive environment where learning extends far beyond the classroom. Living and learning together fosters meaningful relationships, independence, and a deep sense of belonging. Students benefit from round-the-clock support, mentorship, and connection, building the habits, values, and confidence that prepare them not just for university, but for life.

Surrounded by a caring network of teachers, advisors, coaches, and house staff, our students are empowered to grow into curious, capable, and compassionate individuals, ready to lead purposeful lives and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

Unique Characteristics

Service learning is a defining aspect of the TCS experience, shaping students into engaged, compassionate, and socially responsible young leaders. Through hands-on projects, partnerships, and authentic community engagement, students deepen their understanding of local and global issues while developing practical skills in collaboration, advocacy, and problem-solving.

TCS offers an impressive breadth and depth of 120 academic courses, electives and AP classes, so you can discover new interests and go deeper into the ones you love. Our academic program, modelled on a liberal arts philosophy, is collaborative, rich in discussion and writing-intensive. We believe that healthy habits and universal values developed now go a long way in developing confident and caring individuals who are focused on making a positive impact wherever life takes them.
